Yes, the three players need to be playing at the same time as they receive different information necessary to complete the mission.

Yes, you need to have an Internet connection, although you do not need to be physically in the same room with your team members. You can play from home or in the premises of your school/organisation. If you play in the same room, do not share your screen with your team members.
